First Edition EHEN Newsletter
The European Human Exposome Network newsletter is out! In a handy PDF format, it showcases all the EHEN projects, starting with an overview of the exposome concept, and moving on to introduce the Network Coordination Team who will be leading EHEN over the coming years, and the collaborative aims of the EHEN working groups on Communication and Dissemination, Metadata, and Law and Ethics.

6-10 September 2021 – International Summer School on Advanced Methods in Global Health
ISGlobal has organised a 5-day, full time online summer school on advanced methods in global health. The online ISGlobal Summer School proposes a unique interdisciplinary teaching program, organized in six different modules among which participants can choose.
7 September 2021 – Exposome MOOC
On 7 September 2021 Utrecht University and the Dutch consortium Exposome-NL will start again with the Massive Online Open Course (MOOC) “The Exposome – cracking the science about what makes us sick.”
Project Air View shares hyperlocal map of air quality in Amsterdam
A so-called Google Air View Car, fitted with advanced air quality equipment by Utrecht University, measured the air quality on every single street in Amsterdam several times during a period of two years. After six million measurements, the Project Air View team, shared the final map.
11 June 2021 – EHEN conference
“Decoding the exposome: the biggest influencer on health” took place on Friday 11th June 2021. The conference programme included three keynote presentations, two panel discussions and a number of break-out outs, enabling participants to hear from each other of the nine EHEN projects.
Climate and our health cannot be considered separately
The European Parliament published a new ESMH article, which explains nicely why the European Human Exposome Network advocated for a ‘sysyem’vision, which would allow us to study environmental factors and genetic factors along the course of an individual’s life.
“Exposome” – a new field, a new journal
